Professional Organizations

 Estate Planning Council of Seattle 

The EPCS’s mission is to inform the public on estate tax planning strategies, wills, trusts, business succession and other topics that impact individuals’ estate planning. The Council is composed of attorneys, CPAs, trust officers, insurance professionals, financial planners, and members of the planned giving community whose professional careers are centered around helping individuals achieve those goals.


East King County Estate Planning Council
The EKCEPC is a professional organization that connects estate planning professionals, including attorneys, CPAs, CFPs, trust officers, and insurance experts. It promotes professional development, interdisciplinary networking, and education on estate planning, taxation, and wealth management. 

 

Washington Planned Giving Council
The WPGC is a professional association dedicated to promoting and enhancing charitable planned giving. It connects nonprofit fundraisers, financial advisors, attorneys, and consultants to share expertise, offering resources like monthly educational luncheons, mentorship programs, and an annual Planned Giving Day conference.


South Sound Planned Giving Council

The SSPGC is a professional association in Pierce, Thurston, Mason, and Kitsap counties that connects fundraisers, nonprofit leaders, and financial advisors to advance charitable planned giving. It promotes philanthropy, professional education, and ethical giving in the South Sound region through monthly training, networking, an annual conference, and regional initiatives.

 

Leave 10

Leave 10 aims to build better communities and transform as many people as possible into philanthropists by educating, inspiring and encouraging individuals. It is a philanthropic movement encouraging individuals to leave at least 10% of their estate to support public nonprofits and communities which provides resources and education to facilitate legacy giving. Professional Development and Certifications

 Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy | CAP® Designation

The CAP® designation is a graduate-level professional credential offered by the American College of Financial Services, the premier educational institution dedicated to the development of financial services professionals. Learning outcomes include: applying tax strategies, tools, and techniques to philanthropic goals; understanding client/ donor goals; advising wealthy families and family offices on important financial matters, including business exit planning, estate planning, and legacy planning; and facilitating complex gift planning.

Daylight Advisors 

Daylight Advisors offers flexible learning options to philanthropic and wealth advisors in areas designed to maximize their clients’ philanthropic impact, including: impact investing, behavioral and collaborative philanthropy, gift planning, and philanthropic planning with women and business owners. They offer several certificate programs, including the twenty-week Impact Philanthropy Advisor (IPA) Certification, educational resources, peer networking, and Continuing Education (CE) as an approved provider of the CFP Board, Investments & Wealth Institute, CAP, and CFRE.

 

21/64 Certified Advisors 

The 21/64 Certification prepares advisors to facilitate conversations about values, succession, legacy, and philanthropy for multi-generational families, foundations, and enterprises. This professional training provides expertise in guiding complex family dynamics, particularly focusing on engaging the next generation and aligning wealth with family values to define a shared vision for the future.
